ACBO Summer Statewide Cookout 2026

The ACB-Ohio Sports and Recreation Committee in partnership with the Columbus Chapter are pleased to host a summer cookout. This event is open to all ACB-Ohio members, as well as to those who are interested in learning more about ACB-Ohio. Come join us for a chance to enjoy a hike around the accessible Braille Trail, some great food, and a chance to connect and have fun with others in the blind and low vision community from around Ohio.!

 

When: Saturday, July 11 from 12-3 PM

Where: Hogback Ridge Park (2656 Hogback Road, Sunbury, Ohio, 43074

Who: All ACB-Ohio members and those interested in learning more about ACB-Ohio are welcome

Cost: This event is free. Optional donations can be made to support the work of the ACB-Ohio Sports and Recreation Committee and the Columbus Chapter

Transportation: ACB-Ohio is not providing transportation. Feel free to check with your local chapter, as some chapters are assisting with transportation.

 

Accessibility Information: There are accessible restrooms on site. The Braille Trail includes accessible features including a guide rope and Braille signage. Guide dogs are welcome (note that the park does allow pet dogs on leashes so long as the owners clean up after their dogs.)

 

Brenda Dillon Memorial Walk: ACB-Ohio will be participating in the Brenda Dillon Memorial Walk this year. If you would like, you can count the walk around the Braille Trail as your walking participation in the Brenda Dillon Walk.
